Queensburgh Cheshire Home to host Christmas market day

The community is invited to a Christmas market at the Queensburgh Cheshire Home.

THE Queensburgh Cheshire Home is inviting the community to their upcoming Christmas market on December 2. Caring and supporting residents with physical disabilities, the home relies on support from the community.

Where possible, the home supports residents with their basic needs – of bathing, dressing, eating and rehabilitation. Furthermore, residents are offered income-generating opportunities, outings and transport to encourage integration in their community. The home also offers outreach services which include respite care and providing food and clothing to abandoned children.

Speaking to the Queensburgh News, Brain Rossenrode, the home manager, said everything is possible through fundraising and volunteers.

“We host market days every two months where the community can be involved either by selling on the market day or coming to buy. We also have four shops that are run by volunteers. The volunteers also help during market days,” he said.

Rossenrode said they are looking for more volunteers for their upcoming market. For more information about volunteering and the market, Rossenrode can be contacted on 031 708 4747.
