KZN Cerebral Palsy to host market day

The KZN Cerebral Palsy to host a market day in celebration of World Cerebral Palsy Day.

THE KwaZulu-Natal Cerebral Palsy Association invites the Highway community to celebrate World Cerebral Palsy Day by joining them for a day of fun in the sun at their annual Market Day on Saturday, October 7 from 09:00.

World Cerebral Palsy Day is celebrated annually on October 6 to raise awareness, support those living with Cerebral Palsy, embrace diversity and help create a more accessible future for everyone.

Hosted at Pinetown Boys’ High School, the day will offer plenty of stalls, food and tons of fun to keep the whole family entertained.

Linda Naik of the organisation said that all proceeds will go towards projects for the upgrading of CWAC (Children with a Challenge), a daycare centre for children and adults living with profound disabilities.

“These projects include awnings for our walkways, tarring of our muddy drop-off zone and the creation of an indoor sensory playroom. Being an NPO and NGO, we rely heavily on the support of our community to survive and to enhance the lives of those in our care. Please assist us in helping those who can’t always help themselves,” she said.

If you would like to support the market day by booking a stall, please contact Sally or Linda on 031 700 3956.

Donations can be made via: First National Bank, Account Number: 62011917624, Branch Code: 221626
