Crompton Hospital celebrates 30 years

The staff said they were happy with the growth of the hospital and its service to the community.

LIFE The Crompton Hospital staff were treated to a delicious cake and cupcakes at the celebration of the hospital’s 30th anniversary.

One of the doctors, Dr Imran Khan, who started at the hospital two weeks after it opened its doors, said it has been a long, impossible dream.

“It started as a small community hospital. It has certainly grown so much in the past years. I am proud to be part of this friendly family and serving the community of Pinetown and surroundings,” he said.

Hospital manager Zakiya Essa said the hospital has definitely come a long way.

“Starting from humble beginnings, the hospital has expanded over the years. I would love to thank the community for their support and our dedicated staff – we looking forward to celebrating many more years and to continue expanding it to better the service,” she said.
