Join Waterfall vintage market day

The Waterfall Methodist Church is hosting their April market on April 27.

THE Waterfall Methodist Church will be holding space for their local vendors to sell their goods and promote themselves while raising funds at their upcoming market. Taking place three times a year at the church, and now on April 27, the market raises funds for their reach-out programmes.

The theme for the next market is ‘vintage’. “We were originally approached by one of the members of the Vintage Car Club of South Africa, and we loved the idea, so we ran with it,” said Leeza Darby.

“Available at the market will be a variety of food items for sale, from samoosas, roti, burgers, various pork dishes, breyani and many other things.

“There are a number of vendors that make handmade items such as embroidery and knitted, bottled and beaded goodies, and don’t forget clothing.

“There will be a vendor that also does Boba-flavoured fizzy drinks as well as a dedicated coffee guy. We will also have vendors that will cater to the kids with sweets and toys. The Kids Area will be open, where we have fun activities for the kids to do, such as a jumping castle. We are also going to have a live band playing,” said Darby.

She further stated that the market will also be an opportunity to reach out to the community. Waterfall Methodist Church is a little gem in the community, and we would just love the community to know we are here and our ‘doors’ are always open.
