Westville Girls’ one of the top schools in the country

The school has an unbroken record of a 100% pass rate since 1991.

WESTVILLE Girls’ High School has been named one of the top 20 schools in the country following their exceptional 2022 National Senior Certificate matric results.

Principal Russell Untiedt said the school was thrilled with the 2022 results and the fact that they have been named as one of the top schools in the country.

“We have a fantastic team of highly qualified, passionate and experienced educators who always go the extra mile to ensure that every learner achieves her full potential. Our absolute focus is on sustaining academic excellence, and we are proud that we have an unbroken record of a 100% pass rate since 1991 – 32 years as of 2022.”

Untiedt said that the continued teaching and their resilience, and determination to continue with teaching and learning during the pandemic, has paid dividends.

He wished the Matric Class of 2023 and their educators all the best for this year.

“We know that you will not shrink from your purpose in sustaining our legacy of superior academic results,” said the proud principal.

Recently, the school was rewarded by the eThekwini Municipality for obtaining a 100% pass rate.

The Pinetown district awarded the school with a trophy for the Best Performing Quintile 5 School and the best Performing Girls’ School.

In the provincial awards, the school received a trophy for the public school that performed consistently in the province.
