Four occupants injured after an accident on the M13 Field’s Hill
A vehicle allegedly lost control and overturned, leaving four people injured.
A HORRIFIC accident on the M13 Durban-bound has left one person in critical condition and three others injured just after 06:00 on Wednesday morning. ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported that they arrived on the scene to find total carnage.
“A vehicle travelling on the westbound carriageway allegedly lost control and crossed over the centre medium, crashing into a vehicle travelling on the eastbound carriageway before overturning and coming to rest on its roof,” he said.

Jamieson further reported that one person, believed to be in her sixties, has sustained critical injuries and was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics and the Netcare911 Rescue Unit before being rushed through to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that she required.
“Three other occupants from both vehicles have sustained serious injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital.”
At this stage, the events leading up to the accident are unknown, however, SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
