New crèche structure brings smiles

The new crèche structure donated at a preschool in Clermont will allow for up to 16 babies from zero to 24 months to be nurtured in a safe, weatherproof haven.

THE staff at Sphethamandla Preschool were delighted with a new crèche structure sponsored by Combined Motor Holdings (CMH).

The day was also made special by the presence of Chic Mamas founder, Abigel Sheridan, who is based in Cape Town.

Sphethamandla, an IsiZulu name meaning We have the power, is Chic Mamas Do Care Durban’s early childhood development (ECD) project, serving an informal settlement in Clermont.

Chic Mamas are are team of enthusiastic women who believe in the importance of early childhood development (ECD).

CMH donated the funds for a much-needed crèche structure, to Chic Mamas.

The new structure will allow for up to 16 babies from zero to 24 months to be nurtured in a safe, weatherproof haven.

 

Excited principal, Fikile Makhaye, a former educator who is passionate about children’s education said, “This donation is an answer to prayer and will allow our school to serve the local community more effectively. We are so grateful to CMH for their support and generosity.”

Chic mama Jenny Du Bois echoed Fikile’s sentiments and also commended CMH for their generous support and their recognition of the significance of Early Childhood Development in the local communities.
