Missing person sought by family and police

Hleliphi Ngcobo has been missing for more than a week now.

THE Pinetown police are pleading with the public to help them locate a woman who suffers from mental illness. According to the police, Hleliphi Ngcobo was last seen on Anderson Road in Pinetown on January 18, 2023. 

Pinetown SAPS communications officer Captain Bongumusa Manqele said Ngcobo who, in the company of her nephew, was going to board a taxi to St Wendolins.

“The nephew alleged that he stopped to buy water from the street vendors, and Ngcobo kept on walking. After he finished drinking water, he lost sight of his aunt. He searched everywhere around the taxi rank but could not find her,” said Manqele.

He further explained that Ngcobo was wearing a green dress and a red jersey. She is mentally troubled.
