WATCH: Mother of twin boys wins Oxford trolley-dash competition

The Botha’s Hill resident was ecstatic to be the winner of the two-minute free shopping spree.

CHRISTMAS came early for lucky shopper Judy Ten Hoorn Boer who walked away with groceries worth more than R7 000 at the Oxford Freshmarket trolley dash on Black Friday.

The mother of twin boys loaded her trolley while sprinting through the store during the two-minute free shopping spree.

Boer started loading a pack of potatoes before making her way to the meat section. More than half of the trolley was filled with a variety of mouthwatering meat.

Asked why the meat, the out-of-breath mother laughed and said, “Because it is expensive.”

Shoppers and the staff cheered Boer as she filled up her trolley.

The Botha’s Hill resident entered the store’s competition on Facebook and said she was thrilled when she found out that she was the winner.

“I am super excited – my Christmas shopping is basically done. I would like to thank Oxford Freshmarket – we are very grateful as a family,” she said.
