Continuing to serve the community

The Church Alliance for Social Transformation is happy to announce their Christmas market that is set to take place on November 26.

THE Highway Community is invited to contribute to a greater cause as the Church Alliance for Social Transformation (CAST) will be hosting a Christmas Market. This market will be a continuation of their civil work.

CAST is a local non-profit organisation that partners with churches in 11 communities with the aim to bring about transformation. Giving insight about the organisation, CAST’s communications officer Rolan Guston said they have had their hands on deck for the past two years.
“Our organisation has been on the frontline to provide emergency relief to those who were severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the civil unrest and the floods in KwaZulu-Natal. We have begun our second phase of flood relief projects by assisting families to repair and rebuild damaged houses to restore the safety and dignity of the communities. CAST has also supplied our partners with bulk sample clothing to resell for fundraising purposes,” said Guston.

As we approach the festive season, the work continues for CAST, hence the community is invited to the Christmas market on November 26 which will be at Home Ground Church, 2 Church Place, Westville from 08:00 to 14:00.

“Come along and find the perfect gifts for your loved ones, tuck into some delicious food, and bring your little ones to have a ball at our fun Kid’s Zone! Small businesses are encouraged to take advantage of this awesome opportunity to gain exposure and boost product sales. Book a space to sell at R150 each.”

CAST extended their gratitude to their sponsors and community and encouraged them to continue.
