Learners were dressed in their Zulu and Indian attires, and the day also included a show-and-tell session. This is where the learners and teachers demonstrated the different practices of various cultures.
The school’s principal, Ivey Govender, said the cultural day was to give their learners an opportunity to learn about different cultures.

“This will give learners from different groups an opportunity to learn from different cultures. In preparation for this day, the learners and teachers had to prepare their various cultural dishes, attires and histories. They also did some artwork for the day that we displayed for them to see,” she said.
Govender said she was proud of what the learners have put together, and the purpose of the lesson was carried out.
