POPULAR pianist Christopher Duigan will return to Kloof’s St Agnes Anglican Church for a performance on Sunday, September 18 at 15:00.
After the total cessation of live performances and public gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic, Duigan returns to in-person events in Kloof’s much-loved stone chapel.
For this concert, Duigan will play Concert Classics, a programme that includes popular Bach transcriptions and melodies like Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Sheep May Safely Graze; nocturnes and waltzes by Chopin, and music by Debussy. He will be including a number of favourites from his recent live-streams series.
Duigan’s project of 225-hour-long productions, which were presented online on his YouTube channel and Facebook pages during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, offered local and international audiences an uplifting and enlightening ’free to view’ experience.
