The quiz tests Grade Nine to 11 learners on geography, history, science, nature, sport, entertainment and current affairs.

Yenusha Ramluggan, campus head of Varsity College in Westville, said their annual National High School’s Quiz is an excellent opportunity for learners to be challenged and to explore their knowledge which is not just classroom-based as it takes them beyond the school curriculum.

“The added benefit is that the participants learn valuable life skills, such as building confidence, networking, time management, problem-solving and critical thinking. It was a pleasure hosting all the first-round participants on the Westville campus,” she said.

The participants are set to compete with eight of the other Varsity College campuses for the grand prize of R10 000.
