This was after Ndumiso Ntozakhe was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Rose Mbonambi that happened in 2017. Mariannhill SAPs communications officer Wonderboy Nxumalo said Ndlovu was assigned the case and worked tirelessly for four weeks until he traced the suspect in Prospecton.
“He duly arrested the suspect and brought him to face the might of the law. Evidence led him, and witnesses played a vital role in the imprisonment of the perpetrator,” he said.

The station commander, Col Muzi Twala, commended Ndlovu for the successful conviction that took another murderer off the street. “This verdict shows the commitment of our men and women in blue. We will continue to serve with pride and are committed to serving the community of Mariannhill,” he said.
