Support Hillcrest High School sports department

Hillcrest High School will be hosting a fundraiser golf day on July 12 at the Kloof Country Club.

HILLCREST High School (HHS) is inviting the community to a day of fun at the golf course to support the school’s sports department. Set to take place on July 12 at the Kloof Country Club, the golf day is an annual event aimed at raising funds for the sports department as well as providing an opportunity for the community and past learners to connect.

Hillcrest High School marketing manager Kim Blom said the funds raised on this day will ensure that their department is fully equipped. “Depending on how much is raised, the funds are allocated to other shortfalls such as transport to sports events, specialist sports coaches’ fees, etc.

“The day also serves as an opportunity for past pupils to get together – both those from our school and others in the area; a chance for our sponsors to connect with each other and market their businesses to the community, and a great opportunity for community connection. Many businesses find golf an excellent way to connect with clients, and the value add of heaps of amazing prizes makes these even more valuable,” she said.

Blom said the golf day will be packed with fun activities starting from 11:00.
“First tee off takes place at 11:00. Our various hole sponsors have planned different activations along the way, and we will have B-Built offering free shoulder massages, too. A prize-giving and dinner are included, and players are almost sure to leave with a sponsored prize,” she said.
