Support Headway Natal

The Headway Natal charity shop appeals to the community to join them in their good cause.

THE Headway Natal charity shop is calling on the community to show support and shop for pre-loved quality items.

Headway Natal is a non-profit organisation that provides support and rehabilitation to those who suffer from acquired brain injuries.

The Highway manager, Colleen Marais, said the organisation has expanded as they now have therapists who can treat spinal-cord injuries. “The charity helps bring in an income for Headway which we use for our general running expenses. “Offering the group sessions which form part of the NPO, we do exercises, skills, a ladies’ chat group and a support group once a month,” she said.

For the charity shop, the organisation relies on generous donations from the public. “We accept good quality so that it can be resold for proper usage. We sell items such as kitchenware, clothes, toys and a lot more,” said Marais.

The shop operates from Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 13:00. “Our ultimate goal is getting back to operating five times a week, and we are hoping to achieve that goal this year,” said Marais.

The community is welcome to either donate pre-loved clothes or shop at the charity shop in Westville at 11 Menston Road.
