Spreading hope to the Isibusiso Orphanage

Isibusiso Orphanage is in need of donations.

THE Ripples of Change charitable organisation is calling on the community to help them as they spread love and hope for Isibusiso Orphanage. The organisation works towards crafting an impact on the lives of those in need.

Explaining more about their help, Richard Hoffmann-Jensen said their focus is currently on supporting Isibusiso, an orphanage in Hammersdale, KZN, that is in dire need of renovations and ongoing support.

“Isibusiso is a place of hope and care, founded by the remarkable Thandi, whose compassion knows no bounds. In 2017, we became aware of Thandi’s selfless efforts to provide a home for orphaned children, including those with disabilities. She was working tirelessly, often with limited resources, but boundless compassion, to ensure that these children had the basic necessities and a safe space to call home,” he said.

Hoffmann-Jensen explained that over the years, they have witnessed the challenges faced by Thandi and the children of Isibusiso. He said the current state of the property requires urgent attention, and they are actively working on several crucial projects to improve their living conditions.

“The tasks include building cupboards for bedrooms, repairing structural damage, painting the interior and exterior, removing a leaking asbestos roof, installing a new roof and ceilings, addressing electrical work and providing new beds.

“Additionally, we are committed to maintaining continuous support for essentials, such as food, nappies, medicine and monthly necessities, to sustain the 15 children under Thandi’s care. With the help of generous individuals like you, we successfully expanded the orphanage, adding a new building and essential amenities, bunk beds, a gas geyser, a washing machine, a new bathroom and more. Your donations will directly contribute to the completion of ongoing projects and ensure the well-being of these deserving children,” he said.
