Durban Street Food Festival 2023 to serve up a feast of flavours and cultures

The Durban Street Food Festival returns and will be taking place at The Pavilion Shopping Centre.

THE Durban Street Food Festival 2023 is set to return from September 22 to 25 at The Pavilion Shopping Centre. This annual event is a celebration of Durban’s diverse food culture, bringing together food enthusiasts from all over the city. 

The festival will feature over 40 vendors serving up a wide variety of street food, from traditional South African or Durban dishes, like the famous bunny chow and biltong bites, to international cuisines such as Asian and Mexican, with favourites like sushi and tacos.

The festival will feature a variety of exciting entertainment, including live music with some of Durban’s finest DJs, up-and-coming artists and fun activities for the kids to enjoy.

“The Durban Street Food Festival is a great way to experience the city’s vibrant food and music scene. We have something for everyone, from traditional South African dishes to international favourites. And with so much else to see and do, it’s a great day out for the whole family,” said Julie-Anne Zuma, the marketing manager of The Pavilion Shopping Centre.

There is something for everyone, be it a fun-filled day with the whole family, ‘chilled’ areas to experience the ambience, or zones for you and your friends who are in need of an entertaining day out.   

The festival is open from Friday, September 22 from 17:00 to 22:00; Saturday, September 23 from 11:00 to 23:00; Sunday, September 24 from 11:00 to 22:00, and Monday, September 25 from 11:00 to 20:00.
