Meet Dr Harri from Crest Dental Care

Crest Dental Care, located at the Oxford Village in Hillcrest, turns a year old this July!

The team at Crest Dental Care is delighted to have had a year that has been nothing less than exciting, and they are always happy to welcome you.

Dr Harri (Udhir Harrinarain – aka Dr Harri) has been a dentist for six years. He has worked in practices in and around Durban and says having his own practice has had its challenges – like many first-year businesses experience – but he is certain that with his fantastic team, they can overcome anything that is thrown their way. Crest Dental Care offers a range of treatments from basic scale and polishes, paediatric dentistry, dentures, teeth whitening to root canals, crowns and more. They cover the needs of the entire family and are contracted to most medical aids.

Dr Harri believes that prevention is better than cure and urges the community to visit their dentist for a check-up at least every six months to avoid expensive and invasive treatments. He also says it is vital to bring children in for regular check-ups from a young age. This will help them to get comfortable in the dental environment, while ensuring pleasant experiences, and in turn they will also be more motivated to look after their teeth. Dr Harri has been known to make the most nervous patient (which is most of us) feel at ease during treatment, and he says nothing gives him more joy than having a nervous patient walk out his rooms smiling.
