PERFORMING artist and comedian Theshen Naicker is bringing his popular and endeared comedic character Aunty Sheila to The Globe at Suncoast. The well-known social media persona will take centre stage on Saturday, October 29 as Sunda-rella.
The live theatre production of Sunda-rella tells a heart-warming story of a young and feisty Indian girl called Sunda-rella who sets out to become a successful businesswoman.
In her pursuit to make her dreams come true and create a better life for herself, she experiences tremendous pain, which is inflicted on her by her wicked stepmother and sister. As Sunda-rella embarks on what seems like a far-fetched journey towards achieving her dreams, fate presents her with true love.

Unlike in the cliché fairy tales we have read in children’s storybooks, Sunda-rella is not a damsel in distress waiting to be saved by a Prince Charming before she gets her own happily-ever-after.
“This story is probably one of the most special ones I’ve written thus far. Sunda-Rella is dedicated to all females. It’s a tale of strength and empowerment,” says Naicker.
Sunda-rella has what it takes to create an incredible life for herself, but the idea of her own love story unfolding fills her up with glee.
