WATCH: Inchanga women gathered outside the Magistrate’s court

An Inchanga man is to appear at the Camperdown Magistrate’s Court on the charges of murdering his wife.

A group of women are gathered outside the Camperdown Magistrate’s Court where an Inchanga police officer who allegedly killed his wife will appear. Mthokozisi Nene appeared on July 4 when his case was postponed until today for bail consideration.

According to the KZN police spokesperson, Constable Thenjiwe Ngcobo, Nene was arrested at his home in Inchanga after they had received a murder complaint. “The police proceeded to the scene, and on arrival, they were shown the body of a 41-year-old woman with a gunshot wound on the forehead,” she said. 

The KZN MEC of Social Development, Nonhlanhla Khoza, is also in court to attend the case and to plead for a harsher sentence.
