Fundraiser for furry friends set for this weekend

If you are looking for a fun-filled pet-friendly event, come to the market hosted by the Natal Rottweiler Association.

The team at the Natal Rottweiler Association will be hosting a market day fundraising event this Sunday, June 26.

The market day will take place at Gelofte School in Pinetown from 09:00 to 13:00. The event has been planned to raise funds for Rottweiler Rescue SA, Kloof SPCA and The Friend of the Rottweiler Rescue and Rehome association.

Bernice Uys, the chairperson of the Natal Rottweiler Association, said, “We are hoping to draw awareness to the importance of training your dog so you can learn how to raise a well-mannered dog and build a better bond with your dog, all while having some fun. We also understand the important part that animal welfare organisations play, and we want to support these organisations.”

“We think it‘s going to be an exciting day, and we are proud to be able to put together something for these worthwhile animal organizations.”

“The day‘s proceeds will go to the Kloof SPCA, as well as The Friend of the Rottweiler Rescue and Rehome association. We are also aiming to help find homes for dogs that are up for adoption,” Uys added.

According to the organisers, the unique part of this event is that the dogs get to come along and join in on the fun. The day will be filled with exciting activities such as a free turbo class, entertaining dog shows, dog-class demos, market stalls, amazing raffles and so much more.

The Natal Rottweiler Association encourages everyone to come out to support this incredible event. Entrance fee costs R20 or you can bring a donation of a tin/bag of dog food.

“By supporting the event, you can enjoy a fun family day out with your dogs. You can gain more insight into your dogs and how to train them, and at the same time, play a part in raising funds for these two worthy causes,” Uys concluded.
