Municipal workers seriously injured in New Germany wall-collapse incident

One of the men was airlifted to hospital.

TWO men are seriously injured after a wall collapsed on them in Stapleton Road, New Germany this afternoon.

Emer-G-Med’s Kyle van Reenen said the two men, who are municipal workers, sustained serious injuries and were treated on scene by emergency-care practitioners.

“One patient was airlifted with the assistance of the Netcare 911 aeromedical helicopter to a specialist facility,” reported van Reenen.

He added that the second man was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital under the care of an emergency-care practitioner.
