How to: Fluffy Brows #MakeupMondays

The fluffy eyebrow trend has taken the beauty industry by storm, with high-profile celebrities and models sporting the look. In this week's edition of Makeup Mondays learn how to achieve the 'soap brow' look effortlessly and stand a chance to win a three-item kit, to get the perfect fluffy eyebrow look.

OVER the decades beauty trends have disappeared and reappeared, some coming back on the scene with a new twist or old trends and hacks that were once overlooked gaining mainstream attention within the beauty industry.

One of the most fluctuating beauty trends has been the ever-evolving shape and styling techniques for eyebrows. Pencil thin eyebrows with high arches took over the ‘90s and ‘00s era. The style did a complete 360 in the 2010s when thick, bold, and full eyebrows became the desired look, with celebrities, like model Cara Delavigne, trailblazing the full eyebrow look.

The newest look to gain momentum in the beauty industry is fluffy brows and it looks like it’s here to stay. The trend was spotted on Billie Eilish and involves brushing up brow hairs but still leaving them relaxed and natural, which means less time spent penciling them in.

The term ‘soap brow’ is commonly used to refer to the look on social media. The technique involves using soap instead of eyebrow gel to keep the natural eyebrow hairs in place. Soap has a stronger hold and is a common household item, offering a simple and affordable alternative.

As far as technique goes, the steps are simple. Watch this step-by-step fluffy brow tutorial by Cosmetix South Africa and to stand a chance to win a fluffy brow kit subscribe to the Cosmetix South Africa Youtube channel. The kit includes;

  • Essence Brow Styling Soap Set
  • Essence Fix & LAST 18h Make-Up Fixing Spray
