A MAN in his 40s was transported to hospital after he was shot outside a school in New Germany this morning.
Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Captain Bongumusa Manqele said the father was dropping off his daughter when an unknown man walked up to his window as he was reversing.
“The man shot through the driver’s window six times, hitting the victim in his left hand.
“No getaway vehicle was spotted on scene, the suspect ran down the road,” he said.

ER24 spokesperson, Russell Meiring said they arrived on scene to find local authorities and several security forces already in attendance.
“Medics were led into the school where the man was taken. A school teacher was already treating the patient,” said Meiring.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper arm.
The man was immediately treated and later transported to a hospital.
