Highbury celebrates its 119th birthday

The boys started their day with a chapel service.

HIGHBURY Preparatory School’s 119th birthday celebration was a memorable day filled with exciting programmes and activities.

The Upper Highway School was founded by Sibella McMillan.

To celebrate Founders’ Day at Highbury, the boys started their day with a chapel service.

Principal Roland Lacock spoke about Highbury’s history. The boys enjoyed doughnuts at break time, after which they took part in the annual chapel challenge where they raced from the chapel to Dauncey Field.

“Even the Weavers’ Nest Pre-Primary children came to cheer them on.

“They ended their day with a quiz in their classrooms,” said the school’s marketer, Roxanne Houareau.
