Booth said: ”Wally Nibbles and his family are environmental ambassadors in the form of miniature mice. Through the web initiative (Wally’s Eco Buddies), which has partnered with the Kloof Conservancy, they hope to inspire children to respect nature in a fun and non-threatening way.”

“I am grateful to both the Kloof Conservancy and the Watercrest Mall for this wonderful opportunity to reach children with such a positive message,” said the author.

Marketing manager for Watercrest Mall, Elizabeth Roux echoed Booth’s sentiments saying the overall aim of the event was to provide some environmental education children in a fun way.

Booth said, “It is amazing to see that young children are fascinated about becoming more environmentally friendly.”
