Kitten successfully rescued in Kloof

Rescuetech rescues a kitty in Kloof.

ON SUNDAY, the Specialised Tactical accident Rescue Team (S.T.A.R.T) control room received an hysterical call from a Kloof resident who reported that her kitten had gotten stuck high up in a tree and was unable to come down. 

 The S.T.A.R.T controllers activated the system, and Rescuetech KZN, high angle crew, was dispatched to the scene to investigate the call.

The team arrived and conducted a thorough examination; the dangers were reviewed, and it was decided that the rescue could proceed. The kitten was successfully transported to safety and reunited with her family after a rescue that took just over an hour.

 

Rescuetech’s Search and Rescue chairperson, Warren Braun’s said, “Before 9pm on Sunday, we received a call about a kitten stuck in a tree. When we arrived on the scene, we conducted an investigation and deemed it to be safe, we then found a safe way to retrieve the kitten from the tree. Overall, I am happy that it was a successful rescue.” 

S.T.A.R.T can be activated by dialing 031 941 407 or pressing the AAA Emergency Panic Button.
