New market uplifts local businesses

The first of many markets to come offered mouth-watering food, halal delights, vegetables, home decorations, clothes, gifts, aromatherapy and natural cosmetics, homeware and jewellery.

THE Westend Market, a new attraction in Westville to support young entrepreneurs, was well supported by the Highway community.

The market was organised by intrepid traveler and therapist, Judy Mc Divett.

There was also fun for children and other exciting activities.

“People are looking for more authentic, homemade products. The market is also good for those looking to set up alternate businesses. Most importantly, it is an opportunity for people to help others not through donations but by supporting local, emerging businesses,” she said.

Mc Divett appealed to people to visit the market. “It’s an opportunity to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air, meeting others while adhering to all Covid-19 protocols,” she said.
