Local leaders share New Year messages

Newly appointed ward councillors offer words of encouragement to Highway residents as they begin another year filled with many unknowns.

EVEN thought the past two years have not been the easiest as many residents lost their jobs and loved ones, these local ward councillors hope you find comfort and encouragement from their New Year messages.

Ward 23 councillor, Alicia Kissoon

“Yet another year of the pandemic is behind us and we have all suffered loss and had difficulties in some way. However, if the pandemic has taught me anything, it is that the human spirit is strong and resilient. I have seen so much kindness, consideration, charity and humanity that it convinces me that we can navigate a stormy sea by working together.”
