Pinetown welfare runs out of food

All donations are welcome however the welfare society specifically needs certain items.

PINETOWN Highway Child and Family Welfare Society’s stocks are running low and it has called on the community to help replenish its shelves.

Social worker, Nomfundo Khumalo appeals to Highway residents for food donations.

The welfare society has served the Pinetown community and surrounds for the past 89 years. The donated food is then distributed to the needy in the community.

All donations are welcome. Khumalo said there are a few much-needed items on the organisation’s wish list. These include: nappies, baby milk powder, canned food, baby cereals, samp, beans, sugar, tea, peanut butter or jam, bathing soap and toothpaste.
