Help police find man wanted for murder

The suspect allegedly assaulted an 85-year-old woman with a hammer and brutally stabbed her to death.

PROVINCIAL SAPS are appealing to the public to assist with locating a wanted suspect who was last seen in Pinetown.

The suspect, a 47-year-old man, was last seen on September 8.

According to the police, a warrant for his arrest was issued after an 85-year-old woman was assaulted with a hammer and brutally stabbed to death at her residence at Nyavini in Msinsini.

“The suspect was last seen on the same day walking towards the Pinetown area. He was last seen wearing a yellow, striped T-shirt, navy pants and sandals,” said the provincial SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele.
