Organisations unite to rescue kitten stuck in drain

The dedicated team worked tirelessly for four hours to rescue the kitten.

A KITTEN, that was reported to have been stuck in a drain since Thursday, was successfully rescued the following evening (Friday, November 5).

Rescuetech’s Warren Brauns said they received a call for help at about 20:00 on Friday.

“Rescuetech dispatched its operational members to the scene, alongside the specialised trailer sponsored by Blue Angels Trust,” he said.

A specialised camera was used to help the rescue workers locate the feline.

A team from the eThekwini Municipality’s Roads and Stormwater Maintenance department was called in to dig. After working tirelessly, the teams finally were able to rescue the kitten.

Brauns mentioned that the Kloof and Highway SPCA was in attendance.
