Stainbank grew up in Mariannridge, a diverse community where she went to primary school and said it was during this time she learnt a lot of valuable lessons and life skills that helped her assimilate in different environments.

Proud of her roots, she still spends time in her home town as she still attends the local church, St’s Mary and Anne Catholic Church, where she offers free counselling and works with people in the community, which she is passionate about improving and impacting.

“I spoke at the Stars of Mariannridge event in 2019 where I shared my journey with young people who I still mentor in the community,” said Stainbank.

A middle child of five siblings, she enjoys spending time with each one of them and said she is forever thankful for the love and support of her parents and anchors, Mandisa and Phillip.

Apart from penning a great book on self-worth with her friend and business partner, Sihle Mkhize, Stainbank is also the vice president of public relations of the Crest Connect club.

“I joined the club in May 2020 and I’ve enjoyed being part of a public relations masterclass. My club has seen so much growth and has achieved distinguished club status. We are constantly attracting new members and have the most fun at our meetings twice a month,” she said.

She has an honors degree in psychology and has hopes to complete a masters and eventually a doctorate in psychology.

“I look forward to impacting lives through my work, especially in the education and mental health sector. I want to travel and grow as a facilitator, furthering my studies and continue to mentor others and ploughing back into my community, while keeping God at the centre of it all,” she added.
