Pinetown man charged for friend’s murder
The victim was stabbed several times and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
A 29-YEAR-OLD man appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, September 1 for murder.
The man was arrested by Pinetown police on Monday, August 30 for his friend’s murder.

According to Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, it is alleged that in the early hours of the same day the victim (25) and the suspect had visited a friend on Mvubu Road, Nazareth when an argument ensued.
“It is alleged that the suspect left the house and came back with a sharp object. The victim was allegedly stabbed several times and sustained stab wounds to the upper body. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival,” said Manqele.
A case of murder was registered at Pinetown police station for further investigation and the suspect was arrested while on duty in the Nazareth area.
