Learners make a ‘litteral’ difference
The group of learners, from five different schools, picked up trash throughout the Kloof area.
KLOOF Project marked a milestone for its Youth Desk as learners from five different schools mobilised to sharpen up the environs of the Kloof CBD.
The local non-profit organisation used the opportunity to educate the youth on the impact of plastics and litter on the environment. The learners from Kearsney College, Thomas More College, Kloof High School, Kloof Senior Primary School and even Drakensberg Boys rolled up their sleeves and cleaned up a section of railway between the Elizabeth Bridge and the Everton Road Bridge.

A pile of rubbish was cleared off the railway and the adjoining trail.
“Thanks must be extended to James of Mini Skips, for sponsoring the skip, and the educators Lauren Calenborne, Joanne Tatton, Cheryl Selley and Jackie Nel, for their fantastic support on the day,” said the Kloof Project’s Sandra Wickee.
