Well-known author and herpetologist, Johan Marais will discuss the snakes that are most likely to be found in gardens, why they are there and how to behave when one is encountered. He will also provide general insights into snakes and snakebites.

There will be a question and answer session at the end of the talk. The launch will be live-streamed on the Struik Nature Club and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden Facebook pages on the day of the event. All registrants will be sent a link to the presentation once it has been uploaded to the Penguin Random House SA YouTube channel.
