Blooming birthday for Kloof Methodist

The Upper Highway church will host a Flowers Through the Church exhibition and the community is encouraged to donate flowers in remembrance of lost loved ones.

MEMBERS of the Kloof Methodist Church will celebrate the church’s 110th birthday on Saturday, September 4.

To commemorate the day, there will be a Flowers Through the Church exhibition and members of the community are encouraged to bring along long-stemmed flowers with a special message of remembrance.

“We are giving the community an opportunity to remember loved ones lost over the very trying past two years. Two years where proper mourning or closure were not possible,” said Phillida Ellis.

The flowers will be included in massed arrangements and the messages will be attached to bunting that will be strung up inside the church.

The community is asked to drop off flowers for the exhibition, at 4 Park Lane in Kloof, on Thursday, September 2 from 09:00 to 14:00.
