Two cats dumped on N3 inside tied-up pillowcase

The two cats are now healthy and ready for adoption.

TWO cats, a mother and her kitten, were found inside a tied-up pillowcase that was dumped on the side of the N3. A member of the public found them and dropped them off at the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

According to the animal welfare’s Brigitte Ferguson, the two felines were found at about 17:15pm on July 11. When they were dropped off at the NPO, they were seen by the on-site veterinarians and noted to be underweight and hungry but otherwise in good health.

“Both Charlotte and Chase were scared, hungry and had been through an extremely traumatic experience. Over the last few weeks, they have both grown in weight and personality. Charlotte loves having her belly scratched and while Chase is still skittish at times, we are confident he will make a loving addition to any family,” said Ferguson.

Charlotte is approximately two years old and Chase is about six weeks old.

To schedule and appointment to meet Charlotte or Chase, email the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s adoption officer, Tania, at adoption@kloofspca.co.za.
