Westville Old Boy graduates from Harvard
Sasasa Dlamini, WBHS 2017 matriculant recently celebrated his graduation from the Ivy League University.
SASASA Dlamini is a firm believer that it is better to take a risk and be rejected than to never take a risk at all.
From Westville Boys’ High School to Harvard University, the WBHS 2017 matriculant recently celebrated his graduation from the Ivy League University.

Dlamini studied Philosophy and Economics after excelling in the NSC exams in 2016, attaining 7As. He was a member of the senior KZN Debating Team and was awarded the Leadership through Service and Trust Scholarship at Speech Night.
“Thinking back on how unlikely everything that has happened was, I am reminded of not only pain, but the deep love and warmth from my friends and family that has pushed me through.
“I just want to say thank you. You make me resilient, focused and most importantly happy. A Harvard Degree could never match that. We have come a long way but there is still a lot more to do. Aluta Continua Harvard,” said Dlamini.
He plans on working in Washington DC, doing consulting work.
In 2017, Dlamini said to his fellow matriculants, “Make sure you use the resources around you and don’t limit yourself by thinking ‘I’m just an academic’ or ‘I’m just a rugby player’. It’s better to take a risk and be rejected than to never take a risk at all”.
