One dead, two injured in M7 crash

Paramedics said they arrived at the scene and found ‘absolute carnage’.

ONE person has died and two other commuters were injured in a serious accident on the M7 east bound, near the N2, this evening.

Emer-G-Med’s Kyle Van Reenen reported that a heavy duty vehicle crashed into three light motor vehicles at the intersection.

“A male, believed to be approximately 35 years of age, was killed in the collision,” said Van Reenen.

Two other motorists were moderately injured in the crash and were stabilised at the scene by paramedics before they were taken to a nearby hospital.

SAPS was on scene and will be investigating.
