Book for Rowan’s birthday bash

There is limited seating for the birthday concert and pre-booking is strongly advised.

IN celebration of his birthday, Durban’s talented singer-songwriter-guitarist, Rowan Stuart, will perform a concert at the Westville Theatre Club on Sunday, 27 June and will be joined by special guests, Seb Goldswain and Andy Turrell.

With an original sound that is best described as ‘story-based dream folk pop’, Stuart is on a mission to share the inner worlds of his imagination with lovers of hand-made music and immersive escapism.

He has steadily built a loyal following around South Africa and has released seven original albums, toured the country many times and achieved national radio success.

The concert’s special guest performers are no strangers to the South African music scene as Seb Goldswain is widely regarded as one the country’s leading young guitar maestros.

He specialises in finger-style acoustic guitar wizardry and Andy Turrell is well-loved as one of Durban’s best multi-instrumentalists.

He has performed on multiple stages where he played guitar, bass, drums, pedal steel and even bagpipes.

The event is sure to appeal to fans of folk music, storytelling and great electric and acoustic guitar playing.

The doors to the Westville Theatre Club, located at 6 St James Avenue in Westville, open at 14.00 and the concert will start at 14:30. Guests are encouraged to take their own food and beverages.

A selection of baked goods will be sold at the venue. Strict social distancing and sanitising protocols will be in place and guests must wear masks.

Tickets are R120 general admission and R100 for pensioners and students. Seating is limited to 50 people. To book your spot, email Carryn at bookings@rowanstuart.com.
