Two women, dog killed in Kassier Road truck crash

The truck involved in the crash was carrying horses at the time of the incident.

TWO people and a dog were killed while another motorist was injured in a head-on collision along Kassier Road at about 17:00 today (Wednesday, 16 June).

According to the KVN VIP Paramedics spokesman, Garrith Jamieson, paramedics, upon arrival, described the scene as ‘utter carnage’.

A light motor vehicle and a truck, transporting horses, collided.

The two women in the light motor vehicle, as well as the dog, were fatally injured and paramedics declared them deceased on scene.

The truck driver was moderately injured and was stabilised on scene.

Jamieson noted that the horses were uninjured and were transported back to the stables by another truck.

Local SAPS is investigating.
