Five appear in court for Hillary house robbery

FIVE suspects who stormed into a house in Hillary were arrested by Bellair police and appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 10 June.

“She screamed for her employer who was busy working in his bedroom. The employer pressed the panic button which caused the suspects to become anxious. The suspects fled with a laptop after also demanding jewellery and other items,” said Pillay.

According to Pillay, the same suspects later proceeded to another policing area in an attempt to commit another crime and were arrested for being in possession of unlicensed firearms.

Detective branch commander, Capt Nathan Khumalo applauded the investigating officer, Sgt Vukani Zikalala for his investigative methods which led to the positive identification of the five suspects.
