Suspect arrested for Pinetown business robbery
The arrested man was among the six suspects who robbed a clothing shop in Pinetown and fled with undisclosed amount of clothes.
A 29-YEAR-OLD man was arrested last night, (Thursday, 27 May) by members of the Pinetown Trio Task Team.
According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, the man was among the six suspects who robbed a clothing shop in Hill Street, Pinetown.

“He was arrested after detectives received intelligence about the whereabouts of one of the suspects.”
Manqele said it is alleged that one of the men threatened a security guard with a knife.
“An undisclosed amount of men and women clothing items were stolen by the suspects. A case of business robbery was opened at Pinetown police station for further investigation. Five other suspects are still at large,” he said.
The arrested suspect will be charged for business robbery and will make his first appearance in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 31 May 2021.
