THE Open Door Crisis Care Centre will host its eight-week lay counselling course from Saturday, 5 June.
This course is a must for lay counsellors, neighbourhood watch volunteers, educators and community workers.
The course teaches participants basic counselling skills and how to deal with conflict, address social issues of rape, domestic violence, child abuse as well as training on the various Acts and Bills, including the Sexual Offences Act, the Domestic Violence Bill, the Children’s Act and the Trafficking in Persons Act.
