“Both Kiran and Tyson were student leaders in their matric years, and contributed immensely to their school careers,” said Westville Boys’ media spokesperson, Lyndy Coombe.

She pointed out that Kiran was an outstanding sportsman at school, making an invaluable contribution to the promotion of football (1st team) and athletics.

“He was also a valued member of the Learners’ Representative Council, head of the Media Centre Task Team, and received full colours for academics. Kiran’s studies have led him into strategic consulting,” said Coombe.

‘Stubborn, unorthodox and charming’ (add in a wink) are the opening lines for Tyson’s introduction video and Coombe said he will be remembered for his commitment to performing arts at the school where he contributed many hours to WBHS productions.

“For this he was made head of the Cultural Task Team. He was also an energetic member of the School War Cry Committee, and was awarded half colours for service. He was also a senior member of the school choir which earned him full colours. He has gone on to be an entrepreneur,” said Coombe.

Kiran’s opening lines from the introduction are, ‘My daily life is to think ahead. Underestimate me gladly, I’ll lead from behind’.

Coombe added that the school was very proud of the two Old Boys.

“We can’t wait for the drama to unfold around you Tyson. You led from the front at school Kiran and we hope your strategic training pays off,” she said.
