Hillcrest cricketers end term on a high note

Hillcrest High School won four of their six matches against local schools.

ALTHOUGH the cricket season was sadly curtailed due to Covid, Hillcrest High School’s cricketing boys were glad to be back on the field training and participating in matches.

Hillcrest High School won four of their six matches against local schools. The first team won against Curro Hillcrest by seven wickets and also claimed victory against Kloof High School by 106 runs.

First team cricket coach, Cayle Marillier said it was good to see his boys back in action on the cricket field.

                                                   

“The boys have put in a lot of effort this year since we have been back. To see them rewarded with some favourable results, I believe, is exactly what they deserve.

“We look forward to more consistent hard work during term 2 and 3 cricket training and hopefully we will reap the reward at the end of the year,” said Marillier.
