“A physical assessment was conducted by Meditech’s advanced life support paramedic and the patient was found to have sustained a fracture to her lower leg,” said Brauns.

Due to the dense area the patient found herself in, and wet terrain, backup was requested.

“Rescuetech Search and Rescue together with VEMA Paramedics responded and all the teams worked together to get the patient out safely,” said Brauns.

He thanked all the people who assisted in the rescue. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital.
