Drew is a naturalborn leader

Westville Senior Primary’s SPAR Star of the Month - April 2021.

DREW Hollingsworth, a Grade 7 learner, is Westville Senior Primary’s SPAR Star of the Month.

Drew is a hard-working, highly capable and determined young man. His strong sense of responsibility, coupled with his excellent communication skills, makes him a natural leader.

This year, Drew was elected as a house captain and also took on the role of the WSPS swimming captain. He was the recipient of the Victor Ludorum trophy at the school’s recent swimming gala and was selected for the KZN Swimming Team in 2019.

Apart from swimming, Drew actively participates in a wide range of sport from athletics, cricket and cross-country to football, hockey and rugby. He also enjoys cultural activities and has been a member of the school’s marimba band.

Drew consistently excels at academics and his favourite subject is mathematics. His teachers describe him as having impeccable manners and regard him as an excellent ambassador for the school.

They commend him for his positive approach to challenges and mentioned that his wonderful sense of humour adds lightness to situations, exactly when it is needed.

Drew and his family enjoy taking their pet Labrador and Ridgeback for walks in the park on the weekends. When he completes high school, Drew would like to study architecture.
